HYDROXYLHERDERITE ?    Chickering Mine, Walpole, NH
4 mm fov. "Fish egg" herderite?
Species:           HYDROXYLHERDERITE ?
Locality:          Chickering Mine, Walpole, NH
Specimen Size: 4 mm fov. "Fish egg" herderite?
Field Collected: Bob Wilken
Catalog No.: A Bob Wilken specimen
Notes: A similar appearing mineral form has been seen at both the Chickering Mine, Walpole, NH and at Palermo Mine in N. Groton, NH. The Palermo sample was analyzed to be siderite. An EDS analysis, suggested the best fit for this Chickering mineral to be hydroxylherderite. No fluorine was detected in the analysis. The green spray is likely greifensteinite.
